John R. Tuthill was one of the first manufacturer’s representatives hired by Whelen Engineering Company. The year was 1976, and John’s territory included the six New England states, along with New York and New Jersey.  Today, John R. Tuthill & Associates, LLC has grown to nine professionals, expanded into a New England office and a New York/New Jersey office, and has added three other manufacturers to supplement the Whelen product line.

Kevin joined John in 1985, and concentrates his efforts in the New England territory. In 1999, Kevin hired Scott Potter.  Scott focuses his efforts primarily in the Fire Rescue industry and works closely with New England Emergency Departments. Rob began his tenure in 1992, as an authorized sales representative for the New York/New Jersey territory. Rob’s company, Marketing Resources International now employs three individuals to handle the sales and service requirements for his region. In 1997, John hired Kyle Jacobsen.  Kyle came to us from the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, serving in many positions over the years.  His expertise in Specialty DOT Systems within the amber lighting industry, is a valuable asset to the sales team. Kyle also assists Kevin and Scott with Ambulance and Fire Apparatus warning systems in the New England territory.

Currently, John R. Tuthill & Associates, LLC along with Kevin Russell and Rob Squicciarini, represent Whelen Engineering Company, Havis Shields Equipment Corporation, Pro-Guard Industries, and Visual Image Systems, LLC.  This team has established a strong customer base and continues to provide their customer with the highest emergency vehicle equipment in the industry.
